We work with distribution companies and their state subsidiaries on the governance of major capital programmes.
What we do
Distribution companies are being restructured, and the rules governing how they plan, approve and account for capital spending have changed.
Aldena builds the governance that allows a capital programme to move: defensible cases, disciplined controls, and evidence that stands up to a regulator, a lender and an auditor.
We work as a small senior team, on a limited number of engagements at a time.
How we can help
A short, fixed-fee assessment of where an organisation stands against its current obligations, and what it would take to close the gap.
We design and stand up the governance, controls and reporting that a capital programme needs to withstand regulatory and lender scrutiny.
Named people working inside your organisation, running the programme or the separation, on a retainer.
How we work
We are a delivery firm, not a report writer. Our work is judged by whether approvals come through and capital moves, not by the length of the document we hand over.
We bring the discipline of regulated capital governance from markets where it is mature, and we build it for the way the Nigerian market actually works rather than transplanting a template.
Who we are
Aldena Advisory was founded by Buchi Madu, who has spent fifteen years delivering major programmes across UK energy, rail and central government.
Most recently he worked on System Access Reform at Britain's National Energy System Operator, the programme rebuilding how projects connect to the electricity grid. Before that he led programme delivery at Network Rail, and managed programmes for the Department of Health and the Department for Education.
He holds an MSc in Renewable Energy from Cranfield University, an MSc in Project and Enterprise Management from University College London, and a BEng in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Bristol. He is a PRINCE2 Practitioner.
Aldena Advisory Limited is registered in Nigeria, RC 9799457.
